What our pages are for

TubeToTranscript helps people work with accessible YouTube caption tracks. Our guides explain concrete tasks: selecting a file format, finding a spoken phrase, checking a quotation, or preparing text for another tool. A tool’s landing page should explain its inputs, outputs, limits, and a useful next step—not promise that every video can be transcribed.

We are an independent service, not YouTube or Google. Using a transcript does not grant permission to republish someone else’s work. Check the source, applicable rights, and attribution requirements before reuse.

Sources, examples, and verification

For YouTube interface behavior and other products’ capabilities, we prefer the publisher’s own documentation and link to it where relevant. An interface label, supported format, or plan can change. A source-linked comparison describes the documented workflow; it is not a claim that we personally tested every competing product.

Worked examples labeled “illustrative” or “instructional” are original sample text, not transcripts retrieved from a real video. Where an example demonstrates an export or search feature, it uses that feature’s formatting or matching logic. We do not present sample results as testimonials, measured performance, or evidence of a video’s contents.

A review date applies to the page’s substantive review, not every deployment. We do not label an article newly reviewed merely because a build ran.

Captions and generated text are not verified facts

Creator captions and automatic captions can contain mistakes. Summaries, translations, cleaned text, and study notes may omit qualifications or introduce errors. Verify names, numbers, quotations, and claims against the original video. Keep the source URL and timestamps so another reader can check your work.

Our AI-preparation workflows organize source text; they do not make a language model’s answer authoritative. We do not invent an author’s credentials, expert review, or real-world testing to strengthen a page’s appearance.

Report a correction

Use the support form or email [email protected]. Include the page URL, the sentence or step at issue, and what you observed. A supporting official source or a screenshot without personal information helps us reproduce the problem.

For a failed extraction, include the public video URL and the error text. Do not send passwords, payment-card details, or API keys. Acknowledging a message is not a guarantee that an unavailable video can be recovered or that a response will arrive within a fixed time.

Funding, privacy, and disclosure

The basic web tool has free-use limits. Paid plans and voluntary support help fund the service; see current pricing. Any affiliate relationship or sponsored placement should be identified where it appears, not treated as an independent recommendation.

Read the privacy policy for logging, analytics, cookies, and storage, and terms for use of the service. An editorial policy is not a promise of ad-network approval or search rankings.
