How playlist transcription works
Paste a playlist link (any URL containing list=). The tool lists the playlist’s videos, and you tick the ones you want. It then fetches the available transcript for each video. A video without captions doesn’t stop the run; only successful transcripts are included in the download.
Free preview and Pro
Without Pro you see and transcribe the first 3 videos of any playlist, which is enough to check that it works for your list. A Pro account shows and transcribes the full playlist.
Choosing an export
- One combined TXT file: every selected video in order, each under its own title. Best for reading a course or series end to end, or for giving an AI assistant a whole series.
- ZIP archive: one TXT file per video. Best for filing lectures separately or importing them into a notes app one by one.
- For developers, playlist transcripts are also available through the REST API.
Tips for large playlists
- Large playlists take longer, since each video’s captions are fetched separately.
- Mixed-language playlists return each video in its own caption language.
- If you only need a handful of specific videos from different playlists, the Batch tool takes a list of individual links instead.
